The name didn’t press any buzzers, so I consulted the Google oracle. Ah, that’s right. It’s the real world novel that British writer of heroic fantasy David Gemmell published under a pseudonym in 1993. According to the alt.books.david.gemmell FAQ, he didn’t want his fans buying it on name alone, only to be disappointed by the change of genre. Is that your copy, Robert? If so, you’re a fortunate man. By all accounts, “Black Knight White Swan” is as readable as it is rare. The entry on Amazon UK contains a bunch of five-star reviews and an instruction to check back later as it’s not currently available. (They also have the cover up for the next in DG’s “Troy” series – “Shield Of Thunder”.)
Not my copy alas. There is one copy on ebay for auction with a US$278 buyout price…
