Last day in Newcastle. Tomorrow we’re all off to Sydney for the day. Mum and Dad will return home in the PM, and I’ll spend out my last 2 full days in Sydney.
I hadn’t been out to the tip of Nobby’s yet this trip, so I did the walk this morning. I’ll spare you the details of the heat…suffice to say I can vouch for it being summer here in the southern hemisphere 🙂

The highlight of this morning was finally doing what I have been trying since I arrived – catching a cicada!

After playing with him I carefully put him back in the bush, since a nearby seagull was eyeing us suspiciously!
Tonight we go for a barbeque at my uncle's house, and then early tomorrow it's the train to Sydney.
