The Big Birthday Countdown Part One: 1 Month

If there are two things everyone loves, they are surely:
1) Internet countdowns
2) Me

With that in mind, I present the first installment in the official countdown to my birthday!!!

During the next month I will make periodic posts detailing the preparations for my upcoming birthday, and generally giving my loyal readers a forum in which they can share their enthusiasm for the soon-to-be-upon-us event.

Right now there isn’t a great deal to tell. With (only) a month to go, there is no doubt that everyone has started either buying my gifts or at the very least planning what to buy. But I’ll be honest – they’re doing a grand job hiding their efforts from me! It’s probably unlikely at this point that anyone has actually purchased me a card, but I wouldn’t put it past a certain few who deep down want to make sure I get just the right card for my special day.

As for me, well I’m starting to reflect on my nearly-37 years on this Earth. Melancholy threatens to overcome me (as it strangely always does around March 3), but the thoughts of how great the day itself promises to be is (thankfully) keeping most of the dark clouds at bay!

And with that I’ll sign off until this time next week. Feel free to add a comment if you want to talk about what you specifically are doing in preparation for my birthday 🙂

Wish I could help ya, but 36 is my cut-off age for birthday gifting 🙂

You are a bit late this year. I recall past birthday countdowns that began before Christmas!

I have a large helium balloon from my birthday. It’s still as inflated as the day it was filled. Perhaps I’ll send you that.

37! Exactly half my age which will never happen again but 3.7 x Lucky’s age.
I love 37. Why? Multiply 37 by 3, 6, 9 etc and you will know.
When I was 37 I took you to show you off in Germany.
