Gordok II: Foos Strikes Back!

Sorry about all the Warcraft posts, but there has been a lot happening in the game recently!

Last weeks patch added so much and mixed everything around, almost entirely for the better. One big change was the way Paladin’s (one of the classes available in the game) work, and since JBF plays one this means a new experience for him. Today he and I faced King Gordok, the boss of the Dire Maul instance again. You may recall we faced him a few weeks back. So I logged the battle again and the new analysis is as follows:

Foosrazzle
Total time in combat: 12 seconds
Total damage done: 13484
Damage Per Second (DPS): 1124
Largest single attack: 2153 (Judgment of Command critical hit)

Momomo
Total time in combat: 12 second
Total damage done: 15307 (includes 2583 Water Elemental damage)
Damage Per Second (DPS): 1276
Largest single attack: 4398 (Frostbolt critical hit)

Bravo Foos! Bravo. The numbers don’t lie – the new Foos was almost 3 times more effective than the old, and this time I don’t even have any advice for JBF on how he could have improved (if at all). Momo, as you see, did quite a bit less total damage and therefore dps, due mostly to Foos’s effectiveness, and partially due to the removal of the frost spec’s “ghost hit” (one frostbolt was resisted…)

In other news I pugged some old-school raids today and it was absolute madness. I love screenshots of this sort of stuff, and here’s what it looks like when the tank pulls every single spider in the ZG spider room and the damage numbers are more than the game client seems able to display on the screen:

It was truly some of the most fun WoW I’ve ever had, and it continues next week with MC and BWL 🙂
