The trip is fully booked now, and all that’s left to do is wait for the day of departure, specifically July 15.
We’re going to use the legendary ‘Reverse-Delta-Maneuver’, and travel England like so:
Well start in London, with 2 full days. Then we hop over to Dover where we’ll spend the night and pick up our rental vehicle. The next 9 days are spent driving the length of the country, spending a day in various different locales that will allow us to see a lot of historically important places in England. Most of our accomodation will be in Bed & Breakfast’s, which should be a lot of fun (not to mention is very inexpensive). One of them is even a working farm!
Our destinations include Brighton, Stratford-Upon-Avon, York and Blackpool before we eventually end up in Edinburgh Scotland, where we will spend 2 full days. I plan to spend that time hanging out with Amy Pond…
Then we’ll catch a train back to London for 3 more days before returning home. One of these days may (ie. almost certainly will) be a day trip in Paris! (Yes Jim, you read that correctly!)
Then – the great Albion Odyssey complete – we’ll return to America.
I’m not sure if I’ll be blogging at all during the trip – it depends on internet availability. But I will be ‘postcarding’, so be sure to watch your mailboxes 🙂
