Please meet Yossi, the new addition to our family.

Yossi is between three and four months old. We got her from a cat shelter yesterday; it seems she is an ex-stray who was picked up at only six weeks old. She’s bursting with energy, but can’t seem to decide if she wants to play with her toys or nurse with her new parents. She is very affectionate.
It’s been over seven years since we’ve had a kitten. This should be fun…
Very nice.
We were considering a cat, but here the bloody real estate charge a $700 deposit and $20 a month extra ‘pet’ rent if you have a cat. Sure we might get the deposit back, but I still think it’s a bit ridiculous. We’ve decided to wait until we buy our own place and then get half a dozen tiny kittens.
Lakshmi asks where did the name Yossi come from?
Yossi = inspired by Hitomi Yoshizawa, current leader of Japanese girl-group Morning Musume (her nickname is Yossie).
The cat has three names actually: Yossi, Yossui, Yasuda.
This is not unusual, since all our previous animals have had multiple names. Yossi is her ‘common name’ 🙂
I love little Yossi he is very cute. We should get our cat another little playmate.Margaret
