As I said, every photo posted during our recent vacation was taken by my iPhone. Although it wasn’t used much, we also had a digital camera with us and this post contains the best shots from the camera.
I’ll start with a few shots taken from our room balcony:
Those were taken on different days, about a week apart. Both show the smaller of the enclores adjacent to our room. The hotel has multiple different enclosures to separate animals by type (although many different types are grouped together). This enclosure contained giraffe, zebra, ostriches and certain types of bird. The (much) large enclosure to the right of this one is where they kept most of the antelopey things. From our room we could see virtually every type of animal kept at the hotel, with the exception of red river hogs and okapi.
The above shot was taken by KLS in one of the walk-through aviary’s in Animal Kingdom. There are two different ones, and I think this bird was in the one dominated by weaver birds, most of which were building (weaving) their nests above the stream that flowed through the aviary.
These last two shots show how close the animals get to the drive-through safari that guests can go on at Animal Kingdom park:
We also got very close to a giraffe, but failed to take good photos 🙂
