Envy

I got a new phone. A real phone (I used to have a prepay). An LG EnV to be precise

I really like it. It’s a lot less clunky that it may look, and I love the qwerty keyboard. The camera is also very good (2 megapixel) – here are some example shots:

My new plan includes infinite texting. So text away! My phone number has not changed, so use the old one. If you forget how to send me texts from your email account send me an email and I will remind you 🙂

Circle Of Life?

On our daily evening walk, we spotted something walking on the ground ahead of us. It looked momentarily like an enormous insect, or a weird frog. But then we realized it was a bat.

It stopped on the road, and I went right up to it and snapped a few photos (and took some video). It seemed to be in a bad state, and we guessed it didn’t have long to live. Up close it was remarkably cute, especially it’s tiny mousy face. When I got close it tucked it’s head down to the ground, as if to hide. I got very, very close (without touching) and saw it’s tiny black eyes looking at me.

It was terribly sad.

We left it there and continued on it’s way. Maybe shortly after we had gone it flew up to heaven?

Why They Come Here

My brother sent me a list of google search terms that have resulted in visits to this blog, and I thought it amusing to share some.

For starters, the number one search that leads to this blog is obvious: R & K S (not initials, our actual names, which as a rule I keep off the blog). It’s somewhat strange, and more than a little creepy, that searching for our names returns a blog that I try very hard to keep our names off! It’s reassuring however to note that when I search for the above term this blog is not even in the top 200 links. Other popular searches are similar, involving our names and sometimes the word ‘blog’.

The second most popular search term that has led to hits on this blog is: PSP 2001pb (more than 100 hits). Which is obviously related to this entry. More than 100 people have apparently visited the blog for that entry…

The third most popular topic made me smile: They Were Heppoko (hence it’s return…)

The fourth most popular topic is the wizardry series of games, specifically Wizardry Gaiden or Wizardry Asterisk for GBA/DS respectively. The most relevant post would be this one.

More than a few times people have searched for specific entries, using such terms as (click on them to see the entry they were obviously after):
voting is irrelevant I am your leader zod
billy ocean loverboy mos eisley star wars

And occasionally some really crazy searches end up here, such as Tara Reid, ‘dudley mines‘ and ‘broke her leg‘ 🙂

Bernard’s blog seems to be invaluable to the community of people who search google for origami information, incidentally!
