*That’s* where it is!

For some time now I’d been looking for the Transcontinental Coaxial Cable Route with no luck. And then the other day during a walk we just happened to stumble onto it:

I mean where else would ‘they’ put a TRANSCONTINENTAL cable, other than out the back of Delmar…?

By the way, even though I may presume that of all people KLS would need to read this blog the least, she was recently bugging me that I don’t update it enough. So I will strive to increase the update rate during the summer 🙂

Making Love Out Of Nothing At All

Several weeks ago I purchase the following four songs on iTunes:

Making Love Out Of Nothing At All – Air Supply
Only You – Yazoo
Fascination – Human League
Martyr – Depeche Mode

The first is the 1983 hit from Air Supply (go, go Oz bands!), which I absolutely love. It’s another Jim Steinman masterpiece, like Total Eclipse Of The Heart, which spent a few weeks at number two when it was released, ironically prevented from reaching number one by Total Eclipse Of The Heart itself (that was a good month to be Jim Steinman).

So my iPod now has All Out Of Love and Making Love Out Of Nothing At All in the Air Supply section. And nothing else. So last Thursday , when I just left that playlist on rotation for four odd hours, it means I must have listened to each song 40 or more times 🙂

Those that remember me from my youth may be smiling now at my adult music interests. Don’t worry – I still have the entire Nephilim catalogue on my iPod!
