Filling in the blanks on these last few days…

We squeezed every day out of our Universal ticket when we visited the park for the fifth time to ride some rides again and stay for the nighttime light show on Hoggwarts Castle:

We took a day trip to Daytona Beach yesterday:

And then today we just shopped at a few local tourist centers:

Yes that’s a real truck!

We’re both pretty tired, and usual will need a vacation to recover from this vacation. I’ve sent lots of postcards so watch your mail for more memories 🙂

Yesterday we visited an alligator park called Gatorland. It’s a family-run alternative to the epic theme parks that has been here in Orlando for 70 years.

The main attraction is alligators, and they’ve got loads of them in all sorts of enclosures. You can feed them too, which was fun!

We watched all their shows, including the always-popular jumping gators feeding show:

We fed birds:

And took a walk in an incredibly hot and humid swamp (in which we saw a snake):

Gatorland isn’t big – you only need a half day to see it – but we both absolutely loved it and it’s an easy recommendation if you ever visit Orlando 🙂

We went to The Magic Kingdom yesterday. I was feeling quite ill so I hardly took any photos but we filled the day with rides and shows and the usual Disney experience.

I was very impressed by the ‘Fantasy Parade’, which featured amazing mechanical floats themed to various Disney films including this incredible dragon vehicle! It moved and was fully animated and even breathed fire!

We discovered that they’re building a Tron roller coaster as well. I guess we’ll have to come back in several years for that 🙂
