We’re Here

All the travel went according to plan and we met at the airport with no trouble. After signing up for an astoundingly-expensive cell phone plan while I am here (about $18+fees per *day*) we hopped on the wonderful Skyliner train from the airport to the station near our hotel.

Ruinously tired now. Dinner was yakitori and rice eaten in the hotel room. Tomorrow we’ve planned a busy day!

In a little over 48 hours we’re off once again to Japan. The trip will take about 6 hours in airports and 18 hours in planes and we’ll meet my brother in Tokyo.

As usual, I’ll be blogging (assuming I have internet!) and tweeting, so follow for all the fun. I’ll be renting a SIM card when I arrive, so if you get an iOS message from an unfamiliar number, that should be me!

See you there!

Having It My Way

I just beat Kingdoms Of Amalur for PS3, which was an enormously entertaining game. It took me about 60 hours, but I suspect if you wanted to do all the side quests you’d be looking at 100 easily.

There’s lots to like about the game, but the one I’ll mention is the crafting system. Not only is the gear good, but you can name it! This is quite rare in any console game, and… let’s just say I went a bit silly:
