The Week Between

Christmas is over! A fun time was had by all, and we had (as usual) an absurb amount of gifts shared between us. We laughed and ate and fraternized three days away in style!

The first picture was the night before, just prior to all the gifts (and thats not all of them…) being placed under the tree. Pictures 2 and 3 are during, and nicely summarize the proceedings.

I got some really amazing items this year, and I intend in the next week to blog about a few of them in detail…

To everyone reading this blog: I hope your Christmas was as much fun as mine 🙂

It’s Beginning To Feel A Lot Like

We had about a foot of snow on friday, and the snow continued lightly yesterday and has picked up again today (sunday). We’re supposed to get a few more inches today. The weather forecast is for flurries to continue more or less every day during Christmas, with the possibility of bigger snow next friday and saturday.

In other words: this year is a very white Christmas!

Needless to say it’s great to be able to use the snowthrower again 🙂

What makes this snowfall more enjoyable is the fact that it is ‘fluffy’ snow that falls slowly (except on friday…) and has well developed snowflakes. ‘Textbook snow’, if you will.

Here’s a shot I took yesterday of a snowflake on the car window. Hopefully you can see the detail (it was only about 3mm across). I may have to try for more shots like this using the microscope option on my camera.

Oh Tannenbaum!

Did I spell it correctly?

Our Christmas tree is up and it looks lovely.

We only have a few decorations in it at the moment. Here’s a shot of one of them:
