“Life In The So-Called Space Age”
Another laughable game at Disney Quest, this one was a rowing simulator. The raft sat a couple of feet off the ground on a giant inflatable pad and players rowed using real paddles. The raft moved with great power (actually, it was a lot of fun) but did the paddles actually do anything? The ride was big on laughability, but the interaction element was almost nonexistent. Given how much the raft moved, it was a bit like a high tech jumping castle!
This was a virtual reality simulator called Comix. Frankly, the game itself was absolutely terrible. But what was even worse was the terrible, heavy helmet players had to wear. Not only was it just painfully heavy (lord knows how a child plays this), but it was tight and caused us to sweat 🙂
Ah yes, the legendary redemption game Flamin’ Finger. I’d expect nothing less from Disney. (Seriously, this thing is borderline inexplicable!)
