The othe thrill ride is Kraken, a psuedo-suspended (your feet hang, but you sit) coaster with an impressive 7 inversions. It was actually a decent ride, if a bit bone-rattling. The drops are bigger than they look because several of them go underground a dozen feet or so. KLS didn’t ride this, which was probably wise because she would have been terrified. Was I scared? Not at all. After Tokyo’s Thunder Dolphin no lesser coaster will ever scare me!
Live From Florida!
We got to Seaworld right after opening. It’s raining lightly at the moment and attendance seems low. The park has two thrill rides now (compared to when we last visited in 1996) and we headed right to them. We quite literally stepped right onto the first – Journey To Atlantis – with no wait. Although it had it’s thrills, this was far from a great ride. Happily though we didn’t get wet 🙂
