“Life In The So-Called Space Age”
Immediately after entering the park we went on ‘Rhino Rally’, a off-road safari type ride that is a far cry from what it was when Foos and I rode it 8 years ago. Our driver, a young girl, was a veritable comedian, poking fun at herself, us and the entire park with lines such as “If you look to the left you’ll see a beautiful concrete pond with… NOTHING in it!” Silly but fun 🙂
The scorpion coaster, which has been here for years. I took this shortly after the park opened, you can see how dead it was! We’ll ride this one after lunch!
The Sheikra’s much more impressive! Toward the end the car rides alongside some track with moats of water on each side. Funnels on the side of the rear car descend enough to shoot up the water into a giant plume, which you can see here. When I rode, I was in the rear car but had no idea this happened, so it’s more for the benefit of viewers than riders.
