I walked to Cynderella’s for lunch, and just before my meal ended the heavens opened and a torrent spew forth. Rather than wait it out, I braved the rains (foolishly, since my umbrella kept turning inside out) and witnessed first-hand flash flooding like I had never seen in this area.
The above shot was taken about a minutes walk west of Cynderella’s on Kenmore. Notice you cannot see where the road ends and footpath begins. This wasn’t even the worst of it. In some places the water on the footpath was a foot deep, and in one case I underestimated the depth and fell forward onto my knee 🙂
Needless to say, I was soaked when I finally got home!
