Atomic FTW!

Momomo (my World Of Warcraft character) is the guild master of Atomic, a FF guild on our server.

FF means ‘family & friends’, which in this case includes 3 other players: Foosrazzle (JBF in real life), Fyrenze (SFL) and Numinor (JF). That’s me (on the right) and Numinor above.

I’m still enjoying WoW, but interest in the game within the community seems to be waning. This is of course partly seasonal (it always wanes this time of year) and partly because more and more information about the upcoming expansion tempts some to hang up their subscription until the release date.

Momo is just spinning her gears now, fooling around in the virtual world waiting for Northrend (the expansion continent) to allow her new avenue’s of advancement. Until then I’m content to assist my guildies in their endeavours or – if no-one else is on (sadly the norm these days) – to ‘play the auction house’ daily for a quick profit…

My Names Day?

When we were kids we celebrated names day, which was the feast day or the saint we were named after. Mine is June 6.

The Catholic church designated June 6 as the feast day of Blessed Robert Salt. Blessed is one step below Saint, but since he’s been Blessed for hundreds of years I figure he’ll always remain that way. There are other Saint Robert’s (quite a few in fact), each with their own feast day (one, for instance, has June 7) but for some reason in our family we always celebrated mine on June 6.

Anyway names day is a time of great celebration and – more importantly – abundant bestowing of gifts. I haven’t celebrated it in quite some time (say, 25 years) but I have decided to resurrect it this year.

I can’t wait to see what I get 🙂
